RÉSUMÉ
Ce travail avait pour but d’évaluer la valeur pronostique et prédictive du CA15-3 initial par rapport à la survenue des métastases et du décès. C’était une étude rétrospective qui avait porté sur une population de 59 patients porteurs d’un cancer du sein localement avancé, non métastatique ; suivis au service d’Oncologie médicale du CHU de Brazzaville. Tous les patients ont bénéficié d’un dosage initial du CA15-3. La valeur seuil retenu était de 25 U/ml. Le taux de positivité était de 41%. La valeur prédictive positive par rapport à la survenue des métastases au seuil de 55 U/ml était de 83% et par rapport à la survenu de décès de 84%. Au taux de CA15-3 > 100 U/ml, les valeurs prédictives positives pour les deux événements étaient de 100%. Nos données confirment la valeur pronostique indépendante du CA15-3 initial.
ABSTRACT
The aim of this work was to evaluate the prognostic and predictive value of the initial CA15-3 in relation to the occurrence of metastases and death. This was a retrospective study of a population of 59 patients with locally advanced, non-metastatic breast cancer; followed in the Medical Oncology Department of the Brazzaville University Hospital. All patients received an initial dose of CA15-3. The threshold value retained was 25 U / ml. The positivity rate was 41%. The positive predictive value with respect to the occurrence of metastases at the threshold of 55 U / ml was 83% and compared to the death occurrence of 84%. At CA15-3> 100 U / ml, the positive predictive values for both events were 100%. Our data confirm the prognostic value independent of the initial CA15-3.
