Abstract

ABSTRACT
Aneurysm of the thoracic Aorta during Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is rare. We report the case of a 40 years old Cameroonian patient who presented at the emergency department of General Hospital of Yaoundé with severe chest pain and fever two weeks before consultation. Raised D dimmers, led to the realisation of a chest CT scan. This revealed a saccular aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta opposite to T7, T8. The HIV serology on the other hand was positive. The patient refused to be admitted and died a few days later.
