Abstract

ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE. To carry out a pharmaceutical formulation trial from three cocoa butter samples, obtained by pressure, from three cocoa farmers of Melik village (Lekie, Cameroon), of which only one was monitored during the post-harvest processing.
MATERIALS AND METHODS. this is an experimental study from October 2013 to May 2014, in Melik and IMPM in Cameroon and in GALEPHAR M / F S A in Belgium. The methods were those of the American Oil Chemistry Society (AOCS), recommended by the Codex Alimentarius and the related tests are those described in the European Pharmacopoeia 8.0.
RESULTS. Three separate lots were formulated with the following characteristics: Lot A041301 with a capacity of 63 boxes of 30 capsules of a dosage of 400 mg per capsule cocoa butter enriched to 1.25 percent vitamin E, or 5 mg; Lot B051302 with a capacity of 60 boxes of 30 enteric capsules of a dosage of 400 mg per capsule cocoa butter enriched to 1.25 percent vitamin E, either 5 mg; Lot C031403 with a capacity of 68 boxes of 24 capsules of a dosage of 750 mg per capsule cocoa butter enriched to 1.25 percent vitamin E, or 9.375 mg.
CONCLUSION. This study permitted the realization of three pharmaceutical formulations in capsules thus an enteric. Moreover cocoa butter could be used as "gelucire" for the fat-soluble active principles.

CONCLUSION.
