Conclusion.
ABSTRACT
Introduction. Direct acting antivirals (DAAs) are known to be more effective, better tolerated allowing short-term treatments. They are of recent introduction in Cameroon. The purpose of this study was to describe the virological response rates at weeks 4, 12 and 24 of treatment in Cameroonian patients with chronic viral hepatitis C genotype 1 treated with the combination Sofosbuvir / Ledipasvir with or without Ribavirin. Methodology. It was a multicenter cohort study involving patients from five centers for the treatment of viral hepatitis C in Cameroon. We collected epidemiological, clinical and paraclinical data of patients treated for at least 4 weeks with the combination Sofosbuvir-Ledipasvir with or without Ribavirin for chronic viral hepatitis C genotype 1.
