ABSTRACT
Bickerstaff syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by inflammatory demyelinating lesions of the brainstem and the presence of anti-GQ1b autoantibodies in the blood. It is characterized by acute brainstem dysfunction following an infection after a free interval. We report the observation of a 70-year-old hypertensive patient with a history of myocardial infarction, admitted to the emergency department for headaches and paresthesia of the right hemiface preceded a few days earlier by an influenza-like syndrome with asthenia, fever at 38.2oC and aches. The objective of our work is to show the contribution of MRI in the diagnosis of this pathology through the study of an observation.

ER -
