Le cancer du pancréas est une affection qui demeure grave et un problème de santé publique. L’objectif de notre étude était d’étudier les aspects sociodémographiques, diagnostiques et thérapeutiques du cancer du pancréas au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sourô SANOU (CHUSS). Méthodes. Une étude observationnelle à but descriptif de type transversal s’étendant sur deux ans, du 1er janvier 2015 au 31 décembre 2016 a été effectuée. Elle a concerné les patients diagnostiqués porteurs d’un cancer du pancréas et traités au CHUSS. Ont été déterminés les profils sociodémographiques, cliniques, paracliniques et thérapeutiques de ces pathologies. Résultats. Durant notre période d’étude, 26 cas de cancers du pancréas ont été recensés 0,46%. Une On prédominance masculine des cancers du pancréas était observée avec un sex-ratio de 1,9. L’âge moyen des patients était de 56,4 ans. Le délai moyen de consultation était de 151,9. Le principal motif de consultation était la douleur abdominale. L’état général était OMS 2 dans 61,5%. Le tableau clinique était dominé par la présence d’une masse abdominale dans 73%. L’échographie abdominale a permis le diagnostic dans 61,5% des cas et le scanner dans 30,8% des cas. Le traitement était palliatif chez 24 patients, soit 92,3% des patients dont trois cas (12,5%) de dérivations bilio-digestives et à visée curative dans deux cas. Conclusion. Le cancer du pancréas est de découverte tardive dans notre contexte. Ceci rend difficile la prise en charge.<br /><br />ABSTRACT<br />Introduction. Pancreatic cancer remains a serious condition and a public health problem. The objective of our study was to study the sociodemographic, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of pancreatic cancer at the Souro SANOU University Hospital Center (SS- UHC). Methods. An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, observational study was carried out over two years, from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016. It concerned patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and treated at the CHUSS. The sociodemographic, clinical, paraclinical and therapeutic profiles of these pathologies were determined. Results. During our study period, 26 cases of pancreatic cancer were identified 0.46%. A male predominance of pancreatic cancers was observed with a sex ratio of 1.9. The mean age of the patients was 56.4 years. The mean time to consultation was 151.9. The main reason for consultation was abdominal pain. The general condition was WHO 2 in 61.5%. The clinical picture was dominated by the presence of an abdominal mass in 73%. Abdominal ultrasound was diagnostic in 61.5% of cases and CT scan in 30.8% of cases. Treatment was palliative in 24 patients, or 92.3% of patients, including three cases (12.5%) of biliodigestive shunts and curative in two cases. Conclusion. Pancreatic cancer is of late discovery in our context.
