Conclusion.

ABSTRACT
Goal. Our objective was to describe the immunovirological profile of prisonners on Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) from the Niamey prison. Material and method. This is a descriptive and prospective study. In this work, we are evaluating the effectiveness of Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) in PLWHIV detainees in Niamey remand center on ART from December 10, 2016, to December 10, 2017. Results. In total, there were 1357 inmates for a capacity of 455, an occupancy rate of 298%. Thirty-seven inmates were included. The age group from 31 to 40 years was the most represented at 67.6%. Men were the most numerous, a sex ratio of 6.4. Nineteen patients came from Niamey, seventeen from Diffa and one from Côte d’Ivoire. All of them had HIV1. We diagnosed co-infections : 6 cases of tuberculosis + HIV, 3 cases of hepatitis B + HIV and one case of hepatitis C + HIV. Initial CD4 counts ranged from 9 to 699 cells/mm3. After one year of HAART, these rates ranged from 148 to 1763 cells/mm3. An average gain of 298 CD4 per patient was noted. Viral load had become undetectable in 29 patients and remained detectable in 8 patients. All were on the first line of HAART: 30 on Tenofovir + Lamivudine + Efavirenz and 7 on Zidovudine + Lamivudine + Nevirapine. Conclusion. Behaviour change, regular screening and putting on will help control this disease.
}, number={9}, journal={HEALTH SCIENCES AND DISEASE}, author={Gado , AM and Daou , M and Malam , BM and Maidakouale , C and Moussa , BOR and Moussa , SS and Yacouba , N and Adehossi , E and Ndour , C}, year={2022}, month={Aug.} }
