Conclusion.
ABSTRACT
Introduction. Calcium and phosphate disorders are common in chronic hemodialysis. These troubles lead to an increase in the cardio-vascular morbi-mortality of the renal deficiency of the dialyzed patient. Objectives. To report the calcium and phosphate state chronic hemodialysis patients in the nephrology and hemodialysis unit of the Point G. CHU. Methodology. This was a retrospective cross-sectional study from January 1st, 2015 to July 31st, 2015 in the nephrology and hemodialysis department of the CHU Point G, including all patients in chronic hemodialysis for at least six (6) months who have achieved serum levels of calcium, phosphate level, intact THA, Vitamin D. Results. We collected 102 patients out of 230 patients on chronic hemodialysis. Their average age was 48.92 (range: 22-84). The main clinical manifestations were diffuse myalgia, polyneuritis et knee joint pain. According to KDIGO 2009 criteria, only 5.9 % were within the normal range. Bone demineralization was found on 73.34% of cases. The main causative nephropathies were vascular nephropathy, chronic glomerulonephritis and diabetic nephropathy. The mortality rate was 9.8%. Conclusion. Management of phosphocalcium disorders of the hemodialysis patient is challenging. Few patients are within the KDIGO 2009 norms in our milieu.
ER -
