ABSTRACT
Primitive cancers of the urethra rarely affect men or women. In fact, the primary cancers of the urethra account for 1% of the malignant tumours of the urinary tract system. The most frequent histological form of the ulcer is the squamous cell carcinoma. The diagnosis is often late, when complications are present. It is based mainly on clinical findings and examination of the urethra under anesthesia, local biopsies and MRI. The treatment depends on the stage of the lesion and on its localization. Despite the aggressive treatment based or not on a mutilating associated surgery of ablation with a radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the survival rate is low. The interest of our work comes form the absence of local data and controversies on the management of this disease. ER -
