RÉSUMÉ
Les traumatismes pénétrants de l’orbite avec enclavement simultané de corps étranger bi-orbitaire sont exceptionnels. Leur gravité peut engager le pronostic fonctionnel oculaire et des organes voisins. Leur traitement relève de l’urgence pluridisciplinaire avec un pronostic fonctionnel réservé. Nous rapportons un cas de corps étranger métallique bi-orbitaire avec éclatement du globe oculaire gauche, menaçant l’œil droit suite à un accident de la circulation routière chez un patient de 20 ans. Le traitement en urgence a permis de sauver l’œil droit et de prévenir les complications. L’objet de ce travail est de décrire les particularités cliniques et thérapeutiques de tels cas.
ABSTRACT
Penetrating trauma to of the orbit with simultaneous entrapment of bi-orbital foreign body is exceptional. Their severity can affect the functional prognosis of the eye and neighbouring organs. Their treatment is a multidisciplinary emergency, with a reserved functional prognosis. We report a case of a bi-orbital metallic foreign body with rupture of the left eyeball, threatening the right eye following a road traffic accident in a 20-year-old patient. Emergency treatment saved the right eye and prevented complications. The aim of this paper is to describe clinical and therapeutic features of such cases.
