Incomplete right ureteral duplication and calculus in an adult at Gabriel Toure University Hospital: Incidental discovery during surgery.

Abstract

RÉSUMÉ
Les duplications urétérales sont des malformations congénitales qui se rencontrent plus souvent chez l’enfant. La présentation clinique est variée du fait de nombreuses formes anatomiques. Nous rapportons un cas particulier de duplication urétérale incomplète avec portion urétérale pelvienne bifide chez un adulte de 37 Ans. La découverte fut fortuite. Nous avons réalisé un drainage de la collection associée à une réimplantation uretéro-vésicale droite avec double intubation. Les suites ont été simples.
ABSTRACT
Ureteral duplications are congenital malformations that are most often found in children. The clinical presentation is varied due to the numerous anatomical forms. We report a particular case of incomplete ureteral duplication with a bifid pelvic ureteral portion in a 37-year-old adult. The clinical findings, radiological investigations, clinical and therapeutic course are described.
This is a particular morphological aspect of incomplete duplication through radio-clinical records of a patient listed at the time of his intervention in our department. The discovery was fortuitous. We performed a drainage of the collection associated with a right uretero-vesical reimplantation with double intubation. The postoperative course was simple.
