RÉSUMÉ
Introduction. Conclusion.
ABSTRACT
Introduction. The management of floating knees in rebounders is a reality in resource-limited countries where there is no universal health insurance. The aim of our work is to evaluate the results of the management of floating knees in bonesetter. Patients and methods. This was a retrospective study, from January 2016 to December 31, 2019, of patients admitted to trauma emergencies, discharged against medical advice and managed by bonesetter for a case of floating knee. Results. During the study period, 99 cases of floating knee were recorded, 15 of which met the inclusion criteria. Anatomically, all patients consolidated, but all in a vicious position. Functional results were unsatisfactory in all our patients according to the Karlstrôm and Olerud criteria. Conclusion. The management of floating knees in bonesetter is fraught with complications. The functional results obtained were unsatisfactory. These poor results reduce the productivity of victims and impact the national economy.
