Abstract

ABSTRACT
Mucinous ovarian carcinomas (MOC) are rare malignant tumors of the ovary. They are different from the frequently encountered epithelial serous ovarian carcinomas, both histopathologically and therapeutically. They are most often diagnosed at the localized stage. They may be a serious diagnostic challenge with the ovarian and endocervical digestive metastases. Several factors can be used in the genesis of this type of cancer, different from those observed in classic ovarian epithelial carcinomas. We report a case of a mucinous adenocarcinoma at stage Ic of the FIGO classification in a 30-year-old patient. Treatment consisted of right adnexectomy and an appendectomy. After having benefited from one course of chemotherapy, she was lost to follow up.
