Résumé

RÉSUMÉ
Les kératokystes odontogéniques ou kystes épidermoïdes maxillaires sont des pseudotumeurs qui ont la particularité d’avoir un développement limité, non cancéreuses, refoulant les organes sans les envahir. Les examens radiologiques et anatomo-pathologiques permettent de les diagnostiquer. Le traitement est chirurgical. Par ailleurs, la modalité thérapeutique de ces pseudotumeurs des mâchoires est spécifique et dépend de plusieurs paramètres comme le type lésionnel, la présentation clinique et radiographique de la lésion, mais également des données anthropométriques du patient. Le but du travail était de décrire trois cas de kératokystes odontogènes des mâchoires déformant la face et leur démarche thérapeutique. Il s’agit d’une étude observationnelle et prospective réalisée courant 2022 au service d’Odontostomatologie de l’Hôpital Central de Yaoundé, incluant trois patients opérés pour kératokyste odontogénique déformant les mâchoires et dont la réhabilitation prothétique leur a donné du sourire.

ABSTRACT
Keratocysts or maxillary cysts are pseudotumors with the particularity of having a limited development, non-cancerous, pushing back the organs without invading them. Radiological and anatomo-pathological examinations make it possible to diagnose them. The treatment is surgical. Furthermore, the therapeutic modality of these jaw pseudotumors is specific and depends on several parameters such as the type of lesion, the clinical and radiographic presentation of the lesion, but also on the patient's anthropometric data. The aim of the work was to describe three cases of odontogenic keratocysts of the jaws deforming the face and their therapeutic approach. This is an observational and prospective study carried out in 2022 in the Odontostomatology department of the Yaoundé Central Hospital, including three patients operated on for an odontogenic keratocyst deforming the jaws and whose prosthetic rehabilitation gave them a smile.
