Abstract
RÉSUMÉ
La pentalogie de Cantrell est une anomalie congénitale rare caractérisée par des défauts de fermeture de la ligne médiane, y compris un défaut de la paroi dans le sternum inférieur, un défaut de la paroi abdominale supra ombilicale, un déficit de la partie antérieur du diaphragme, un déficit dans la partie diaphragmatique du péricarde avec une communication libre entre le péricarde et les cavités péritonéales et malformations cardiaques congénitales. Le pronostic à long terme pour les enfants atteints de cette anomalie dépend surtout de la complexité de la malformation cardiaque associée. Nous rapportons un cas d’observation de pentalogie de Cantrell chez une fille de cinq ans avec comme malformation cardiaque : une dextrocardie, un canal atrio-ventriculaire complet équilibré, une ectopie cardiaque extra thoracique.
ABSTRACT
The pentalogy of Cantrell is an rare congenital abnormality characterized by a supra umbilical hernia of the abdominal wall, a defect of the anterior part of the diaphragm, a defect of the diaphragmatic pericardium, an abnormality of the lower part of the sternum and heart malformations. The long-term prognosis for children with this anomaly depends mainly on the complexity of the associated heart defect. We report a case of Pentalogy Cantrell in a five-year-old girl with a cardiac malformation: dextrocardia, a complete atrioventricular canal, and ectopia cordis.
