RÉSUMÉ

Introduction. Conclusion.
ABSTRACT
Introduction. Typhoid fever remains an important health problem in the world, particularly in Africa. This infection caused by salmonella typhi can be fatal and must therefore be controlled. The objective of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of typhoid fever in patients admitted to the Ignace Deen Hospital laboratory by salmonella typhi IgM ELISA test. Population and methods. This was a cross-sectional study with a descriptive aim on people requesting the examination of the stool culture present during our study period from June 01 to August 30, 2021 at the laboratory of the Ignace Deen hospital in Conakry. Analysis was carried out with the EPI data SPSS software. Results. During our study, we recorded 81 patients among whom 22 were positive or 27.20% and 59 negative or 72.80%. Your most affected age group was less than 40 years the majority of patients were 40% de Matoto and 37% were of higher education. Patients who used the pump were 33%, those who sanitized food and fruit were 27.20%. Conclusion. The prevalence of typhoid fever is not very high nonetheless remains a public health problem. It affected all socio-professional layers and awareness-raising actions must be carried out to reduce the incidence of typhoid fever
