Abstract
L’épulis congénitale est une tumeur bénigne de la cavité buccale survenant chez le nouveau-né. Nous rapportons un cas d’épulis congénitale chez un nouveau-né au premier jour de vie dans la grossesse et l’accouchement se sont déroulés sans incident. La tumeur n’a pu être diagnostiquée en anténatal. L’exérèse a été faite sous anesthésie locale. Nous rapportons ce cas d’épulis congénital pour enrichir les données de la littérature et faire connaitre cette pathologie rare.
RÉSUMÉ
Congenital epulis is a benign tumor of the oral cavity occurring in the newborn. We report a case of congenital epulis in a newborn on the first day of life in which pregnancy and delivery were uneventful. The tumor was diagnosed antenatally. Excision was performed under local anesthesia. We report this case of congenital epulis to enrich the literature and raise awareness of this rare pathology.
