Abstract
ABSTRACT
Malignant degeneration of chronic osteomyelitis is a rare, serious and late complication. Its histopathogenesis remains unknown, chronic infections associated with local inflammatory factors are implicated in more than 25% of neoplastic processes. The clinical triad of malignant degeneration associating the pain of progressive aggravation, the suppurating discharge and the haemorrhage must suspect this pathology. The diagnosis is mainly anatomopathological. Rapid and radical management is the solution to improve the prognosis, which is most often reserved due to the frequency of recurrences.
