Abstract

ABSTRACT
Pheochromocytoma or chromaffinoma is a rare tumour that develops in the adrenal medulla. It almost always secretes catecholamines the main clinical consequence of which is arterial hypertension. The annual incidence of these tumours is 1 to 4 per million inhabitants. It mainly affects boys whose average age at the time of discovery is 10 years. The final diagnosis is usually made by histopathology after surgical extraction. In Guinea, to our knowledge, no case has been reported in the literature, hence the subject of this observation.
