Abstract
Nous rapportons les aspects diagnostique, thérapeutique et pronostique d’une tumeur maxillaire chez une jeune femme reçue au service de stomatologie de l’Hôpital Général de Douala au Cameroun. Un examen clinique rigoureux, une investigation radiographique ainsi qu’un examen anatomopathologique ont permis de poser le diagnostic de certitude de tumeur odontogénique adénomatoïde extra-folliculaire. Le traitement a consisté en une énucléation chirurgicale complète de la tumeur sous anesthésie locale. Une radiographie postopératoire à 3 mois a montré un comblement satisfaisant du défaut osseux sans récidive.
RÉSUMÉ
We report diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic aspects of a maxillary tumor in a young female seen in the stomatology department of the Douala General Hospital in Cameroon. Comprehensive approach based on clinical, radiological and histopathological findings allowed a definitive diagnosis of odontogenic adenomatoid extrafollicular tumor. Treatment consisted of complete surgical enucleation under local anesthesia. Three months later, postoperative X-ray showed satisfactory filling of the bone defect without recurrence.
