Abstract
L’encéphalite toxoplasmique (ET) représentait l’une des premières infections opportunistes du système nerveux central au début de la pandémie du VIH/SIDA. Les mesures combinées de prévention et l’accès élargi aux thérapies antirétrovirales (ARV) ont réduit l’incidence de cette parasitose ubiquitaire sauf en Afrique sub-saharienne où plus de la moitié des personnes infectées ignore encore son statut sérologique. Parce que les aspects scanographiques demeurent essentiels dans le diagnostic présomptif de cette urgence neurologique curable dont la clinique est polymorphe, nous illustrons cinq cas typiques observés à Yaoundé.
