Abstract
RÉSUMÉ
Le myxome est la tumeur intracardiaque primitive la plus fréquente. Sa caractéristique principale est son polymorphisme clinique retardant très souvent le diagnostic. Tout retard diagnostique se fait au risque d’une complication pouvant mettre en jeu le pronostic vital du malade. L’avènement de l’échocardiographie transthoracique a résolu le retard diagnostique dans nos pays mais la prise en charge chirurgicale reste encore limitée à cause du problème d’accès à la chirurgie cardiaque. Nous rapportons un cas de myxome révélé par une crise d’œdème aigu du poumon, ayant fait l’objet d’une cure chirurgicale au nouveau Centre de Chirurgie Cardiaque de Bamako.
ABSTRACT
Myxoma is the most common primitive intracardiac tumour. Its main characteristic is its clinical polymorphism very often delaying the diagnosis. Any delay in diagnosis is done at the risk of a complication that could jeopardize the vital prognosis of the patient. The advent of transthoracic echocardiography has resolved the delay in diagnosis in our countries, but surgical management is still limited the problem of access to cardiac surgery. We report a case of myxoma revealed by a crisis of acute pulmonary edema having benefited from surgical treatment at the new Heart Surgery Center in Bamako.
