ABSTRACT
Stillbirth is a relatively common unfortunate event. It can be caused by maternal infection during pregnancy, hypertension, diabetes, complications of childbirth, intrauterine growth retardation, or congenital anomaly. Stillbirth is described as a risk factor for increased psychological morbidity. Here we report a live birth that occurred after seven consecutive stillbirths in the San health district. A rigorous follow-up of the pregnancy and the timely induced delivery allowed to have this result. A live birth after consecutive stillbirths is an effective treatment for psychological impairment.
