Abstract


RÉSUMÉ
Objectif. Évaluer les demandes d’échographie thoracique au sein de l’Hôpital Jamot de Yaoundé. Matériels et méthodes Il s’agit d’une étude transversale descriptive quantitative, réalisée dans le service de radiologie et d’imagerie médicale menée de janvier 2015 à décembre 2018. Nous avons procédé à un échantillonnage consécutif non exhaustif des comptes rendus d’échographie thoracique et/ou pleurale pendant 03 ans. Résultats. Nous avons collecté les comptes rendus de 195 patients dont 123 hommes (63%). L’âge médian était de 39 ans. Le marquage était l’indication la plus retrouvée (90.3%). Les résultats étaient pathologiques dans 77,4% des cas (IC =95%). Les lésions étaient à droite dans 116 cas (59,6%). Les principales lésions étaient l’épanchement pleural cloisonné (31,1%) et l’épanchement pleural libre (30.5%). Conclusion. Au terme de cette étude nous pouvons conclure que l’échographie thoracique à l’Hôpital Jamot de Yaoundé se fait essentiellement pour le marquage de site de ponction d’épanchement pleural.
ABSTRACT
Objective. To evaluate the requests for chest ultrasound at the Jamot Hospital in Yaoundé. Materials and methods It was a cross-sectional descriptive study, carried out in the radiology and medical imaging department, from January 2015 to December 2018. We carried out a non-exhaustive consecutive sampling of thoracic non cardiac ultrasound reports and for three years. Results. We collected the reports of 195 (123 men, 63%). The median age was 39 years. Skin marking before puncture was the most common indication (90.3%). We found abnoramlities in 151 cases (77.4%). Lesions were right-sided in cases 116 patients (59.6%). Loculated pleural effusion (31.1%)  and free pleural effusion (30.5%) were the most common abnormalities.. Conclusion. The chest ultrasound at the Jamot hospital in Yaoundé is mainly for the marking of pleural effusion puncture site.
