Abstract

ABSTRACT
Periodontal abscess is a common dental emergency requiring immediate treatment. It leads to a rapid destruction of the periodontium with an impact on the prognosis of the affected tooth and in certain circumstances with serious consequences at the systemic level. We report the management of a periodontal abscess in a diabetic and hypertensive patient received at the stomatology department of the Douala General Hospital. An improvement in blood pressure was observed 15 days after non-surgical periodontal treatment.
