Abstract
RÉSUMÉ
La strangulation de la verge par des objets est un comportement auto-agressif dangereux qui peut être observée chez certaines personnes atteintes de schizophrénie. Nous rapportons les cas de deux patients schizophrènes présentant chacun une strangulation de la verge par un anneau métallique. L’anneau a été enlevé chez l’un des patients par une pince coupante et les suites opératoires étaient simples. Une meuleuse électrique a été utilisée chez le second patient, celui-ci étant sous anesthésie générale puis on a réalisé un sondage urétro-vésical sans incident, une nécrosectomie, une antibiothérapie et il a été mis sur antipsychotiques après avis psychiatrique.
ABSTRACT
Strangulation of the penis by objects is a self-aggressive behavior that can be observed in individuals with schizophrenia. We report the cases of two schizophrenic patients, each presenting with strangulation of the penis by a metal ring. The ring was removed in one patient using a cutting pliers, and the postoperative course was uneventful. An electric grinder was used in the second patient,with general anesthesia, followed by uneventful urethral-vesical catheterization, necrosectomy, antibiotic therapy and initiation of antipsychotics after psychiatric consultation.
