Abstract

ABSTRACT
Muscle metastases are rare, considered to represent less than 1% of hematogenous metastases. We report a case of muscle metastasis in a 46-year-old female patient with no significant past medical history. She had been complaining for four months of pain in both lower limbs, followed by the appearance of swellings on her thighs, left shoulder, and back. An ultrasound of the soft parts of the right thigh revealed a mass which was biopsied. Histopathology diagnosed muscle localization of adenocarcinoma. This case shows that muscle metastases can reveal an unknown cancer.
