Abstract
La méningo-encephalocèle sincipitale est une anomalie du tube neural rare dans notre milieu. Elle pose des problèmes d’ordre diagnostique, et thérapeutique.
Nous rapportons l'observation médicale d'une fillette de 6 semaines, qui présentait dès la naissance une masse fronto-nasale molle, expansible aux pleurs de l’enfant, et transilluminable, sans autres malformations associées. L’anomalie s’était compliquée de méningite suite à une effraction cutanée avec fuite de liquide céphalorachidien. Le diagnostic de méningo-encephalocèle était confirmé à la tomodensitométrie cérébrale qui retrouvait également une hydrocéphalie quadriventriculaire. Le traitement neurochirurgical en un temps avait été pratiqué ; les suites opératoires étaient simples.
